Scene Title What to do?
Synopsis They don't know what todo!

After a long and arduous trip wrought with danger and near falls, the duo arrives on the top of Mount Olympus!

Designed by Hephaestus and built by the one-eyed giants, the cyclopes, the enormous Palace of Zeus in Olympus serves as the center of divine activity in the realm. Its Doric columns and marble walls feature classic Greek architectural styling, or rather, were the inspiration for the Doric, Ionic and Corinthian styles that would come to be known as classically Greek.

From the outside, the Palace is a great rectangular temple of gleaming white marble, set at the highest point of the highest peak of Mount Olympus. Its primary columns, which line the face of the external colonnade 12 to a side, are as tall and broad as sequoias. Just beyond them, where the palace proper begins, a massive marble portico extends toward the interior of the building. Still open to the air, this area features a deep pool. Its walls are mosaic with cobalt and silver tiles that form interlocked waves and cloud patterns, and the water is so clear as to appear almost non-existent. At the center of the pool stands a lifesized statuary scene commemorating the victory of the Dodekatheon (led by Zeus, of course) over the Titans (who are, as suits Zeus’ ego, appear much weaker and less impressive than they are in reality).

For now it is quiet.. too quiet.everything seems.. normal?

Weren't there others? There were others! Jolie! Gene! People! Maybe they went a different way. Out of sight out of mind. Jason takes a moment to look around the surroundings looking.. rather impressed! It's the seat of his families divine power after all and he's never been here. A hand reaches up to brush back his hair before he absently fiddles with his attire, trying to look presentable after arduous and difficult mountain climbing. "I'm sure my Mother has her own place here, but I'm not actually sure where that might be. I'd rather hoped someone might come out to greet us, but as they have not.. let us go pay a visit to my Grandfathers Palace." And that is just what he does, strides carrying him forward.

With a sweatshirt-clad arm, Scott Cornwall wiped the sweat off his face. A long climb up, to find this at the top, his cheeks poff outward like a small blowfish as he lays eyes on the fabled Mount Olympus. "Well," he says, and suddenly finds himself at a loss for words. He shifts in place, feeling a little messy from the exertion as his eyes glance over to the Demigod child of Aphrodite. "Yes," he adds, with a nod, feeling the hairs stand on the back of his neck as he follows Jason. If it were Duat…well, that's family. Here, he's the outsider, and Scott feels that keenly as the high-up winds through his clothing.

There were other people! But they just sort of disappeared. Still, it's rather quiet for now until there's a scream that can be heard! It's an angry and annoyed scream from inside the palace of Zeus and it should be a familiar huff and puff to Jason. It's Hera and she's storming out of the bedchambers annoyed.

"In all my years!!!!!!" she grumps.

Yipes! How did Jason get to Zeus's bedchambers, that is not a place he intended to be! Of course, it is Olympus. All newcomers probably arrive at Zeus's bedchambers just on the off chance one of them happens to be female and optionally attractive. "Grandmother" Jason says to Hera having learned his lessons well, eyes darting past her towards the doorway trying to catch sight of what upset her, "Is something wrong?"

Hey, don't look at Gene. He's not related to her. As Jason heads after Hera, he eyes the man for a few moments as he rushes off, and then lights up a black-wrapped cigarette to take a long drag thereof — exhaling a coiling plume of clove-scented smoke that lingers about the brim of his hat, stirring there before his eyes before slipping away on a tide of the wind as he looks around the Palace.

"Huh," he muses, "Nice place."

The Demigod Scion of Thoth comes up short at the scream, his relic sneakers almost squeaking along the tiled floor. He watches the tall woman carefully, and as Jason addresses her, all those stories he read come back into his head. "No details, please," he says. In the old stories he read, Hera's wrath was invoked at Zeus'…indecretions. Usually involving animals. Or showers of Golden Light, which…it took Scott til his senior year of high school to understand what that really meant…

Mmmm. Golden pee showers. Zeus does not do that.. much.. anymore.. really. Still, Hera is furious as she blinks a little while looking towards Jason and wrinkles her nose as she hrmms for a few moments.

"You're.. here! Go back to Earth at once! And get him some viagra!" Even the gods are affected! Gasp! Surely they know that Aphrodite is missing, right?

Clutching his staff, given to him upon his demigod-hood, Scott glances at the floor, trying to focus his brain anywhere but here. This is the best way he's found to prevent himself from saying something really, really stupid at that moment in time. His mind does process it, with some mental notes to never tell anyone outside the room of this conversation, ever.

Jason already knew the gods were affected of course. Hera's little owl said as much! The scion of Aphrodite does not mention the bottle of Viagra tucked away in a pocket just in case he should decide he really really needs an erection while within the Greek sphere of influence. "Grandmother. I was rather hoping I might find mother instead. If she were going about her duties you'd not need those pesky earthly chemicals. I.. don't suppose you have any idea where she actually is?"

"Vi…" Gene raises one hand to hide his face into the spread of his fingers and palm, eyes closing for a moment as he takes a three count. Then his hand drops a bit, and he observes dryly, "I'm guessing that Aunt Aph's run into a wee bit of trouble, then, if even the big Zed can't get it up." A pause, and he calls over to add to Jason's words, "Does she have a cell phone?"

Aphrodite does not have a cellphone! She is missing!

"I knew the tramp was gone. Gah.." Hera says, annoyed as she looks around and harumphs a little at the whole ordeal. She looks around and eyes Gene for a few moments, just glaring at him for a bit before she shrugs her shoulders and sighs softly.

"Find her, if she's pulling this trick I will smack her myself!"
"Grandmother.. It's my first time here" Jason says trying to keep a cheery disposition, "I'm not certain where anything is, and people might not know it is ok to speak with me should I have any questions. Could we have someone from the household to serve as guide while we look for her?" Gene gets a wince, "All Greece is having troubles really. And she changes numbers a lot, you know, men she is bored with always calling."

Hey, Gene has a cell phone. It's a logical question! Who'd strip search Aphro— oh. Oh, right. Nevermind.

Another drag on his cigarette, and he moves to meander over towards Jason and Hera, "Mm. Mom might be here still, unless something happened to her too…"

"Matter of fact," Scott says, as he looks up from the reflections he is seeing in the floor of the palace. "Where is her domicile, on Olympus? There might be a clue there to where she's gone." He places his staff in both hands, rounded bottom to the floor as he rests on it, holding the staff down in front.

"The slut has her own little subrealm. She moves it around all the time. She has her manservants tearing it down and rebuilding it every time. If this is a prank of hers.."

Angry Hera is angry. Really angry. She was supposed to have some Zeus lurve tonight, but alas, he cannot get it up and for that she is annoyed.
Yes. Right. Instead of pressing about a servant to help Jason instead gives a smile and backs away, "Well thank you Grandmother. That is quite helpful. We'll simply be on our way then. Good luck with Grandfather." Then he's backing away and pulling out his GPS to tap away at it. If Aphrodite has her own subrealm, Heph's little creation probably keeps it's current entrance updated in the database.

They are married, after all! Not that it means much. Gene starts to ask something elsepausesand then just shakes his head, glancing at Jason's GPS to ask quietly, "You got it in there?"

Inclining his head respectfully to the greater goddess, Scott backs away. Slowly. Once done, he turns to the pair of taller demigods, as Gene gets to the question before he does. He's been keeping his ears open, just in case.

THe realm is here, but also not here. Usually it's connected to the actual Palace of Zeus itself, much like the other realms of the various gods are. That's rather odd isnt it? But there's a faint giggling that can be heard. Jason, Scott and Gene would recognize the giggling. It belongs to one white bitch afterall, and it's.. to the NORTH!

Jason does not recognize the giggling. Alas. Although he is surely aware of it because.. damn.. Jason is aware of one hell of a lot. He is currently frowning at the GPS while he taps away at the keys making heavy use of the ancient greek characters along one side which access the special functions. "Yes. No. It should be here, normally there is a connection to the palace itself but right now.. I'm not registering the doorway. Maybe it has been sealed off somehow. Let me see if I can't pull the last known coordinates." Giggling aside that is just what he works on doing now, working on locating where the doorway at least was.

"Helena." Flat. "How many fuckin' times do I have to kill that bitch…" #19074 virtually appears in Gene's hand, his thumb sliding over the safety that clicks ever-so-easily off in eagerness to be used. It's such a pity, too, she has a gorgeous ass. Well, before she died, anyway. Off he goes at a run through the Palace.
It's when he hears the giggling, that Scott perks up, a look of dread crossing his face. "Oh, hell," he finally says, pulling the monocle from his pocket, and getting ready. "That was Helena. She's already here. We have to move. Now," he says, as he starts heading north. "She's one of the known…almost-survivors with Colm. Zombie, sort, right now."

You know it's a serious moment when Gene doesn't have a moment to spare making a 'Jason' and 'Bringing up the rear' wisecrack. No, he's fast in pursuit of the sound of that wicked laughter, gun in hand and expression dark, eyes gleaming gold as the apples of the Hesperides.

"Go for it," Scott replies, but he doesn't look at Jason. "We need to hit them hard and fast, and Gene knows she doesn't stay down easily. S'like Titanic Herpes or something, I swear." He mutters, a spell forming on his lips as he picks up the speed, ready to finish this.

Technically, Helena has been dead for a while. A long while really. It's just that she keeps on getting brought back, but when you serve the new Titan of Death, the rules don't exactly apply to you. Still, they follow and she's in the opposite direction of Jason's momma.. at least it seems that way on the GPS. To the left! To the right! To the left! To the right! The voice continues until they find themselves in.. a maze… DUN DUN DUN!

Jason does not in fact follow! His priorities being a bit different in this case and his missing mother being foremost among them! "Right. I have a read. I'm going to check it out, uh.. keep her busy then. If I bump into any members of the family I'll send them to help you guys out." And then he is off, following towards the last known location of Aphrodite's subrealm.

"If she's got Colm's power levels, then we're going to need it," Scott replies, as he looks to Gene, to see what the older man does. "I'll go with you," he says to the Eris Scion. "We did good enough last time against her."

Skid skid… "Ah, shit." As it becomes clear that the corridors are a maze around them, Gene pauses; sniffing the air a bit, he leans forward slightly, heading down a passage in pursuit, "This way."
Jason continues moving in the oppositeish direction from the other two. Frequently checking the screen of his GPS as he closes in on those last good coordinates.

Oh dears! The trio has separated! The only one with the ability to nullify sound itself has gone in the other direction towards Aphrodite's subrealm while Gene and Scott head deeper in the rather chaotic maze.

The duo finds things darkening. It's harder and harder to see, but Gene can still sniff out that perfume, the perfume of Helena. It's just another left, another right, go straight for a while and head towards dawn till mor..erm, it's a few more lefts after that!

Jason meanwhile is running and running. There's the robotic owl flying again. It's very clash of the Titans-esque as it hoots a little while perching on his shoulder. Soon enough he finds a clam like door. Could that be where he wants to go? Now how to open it?

Jason comes to a sudden stop outside the clamlike door, looking up onto his shoulder to the owl. "Hey there." Back to the door then and he is calling out for it, "Jason is here. Son of Aphrodite? Don't suppose you are keyed to know me? Aphrodite you are very beautiful and I hope your door is keyed to flattering words and praise?" Right. That may or may not open the door but he says to the owl, "Grandmother mentioned workmen always moving the thing. They'd have to have a set of keys. Do you know where they are?" Meanwhile he is searching about with his own uber senses.
