|Scene Title||Mr. Brockovich Pt 1|
|Synopsis||Eris informs Gene about Minerva|
The other young scions are off flirting over books and lore, while Gene meanders through the streets of the city. Not following a tourist's map or surrendering to the suggestions of guides and street rats that promise him all the city's wonders for just a few euros - or so he figures from their tone and the few words he can make out - he just walks at his own pace, hands tucked into the pockets of his jacket and his gaze on the people in the streets and homes. Soaking in the atmosphere and normal life in Athens.
Athens is renown for it's culture and archaeological sites. Today is a beautiful day to go exploring, and there are various tourists all around just going through the various sights, such as the Parthenon to his right. If he looks, there's a familiar figure. She's dressed in dark goth lolita once more and tosses an apple up and down in her hand.
A smile tugs up at one corner of Gene's lips, and he saunters along over towards that familiar figure lingering near the Parthenon. "Seein' the sights, are we? Impressive view for something that's just a bunch of rocks."

"You're finally visiting my home and I figured you'd need a tour guide.." Eris replies snickering softly as she hops down the steps, before she's soon at his side with a wry grin curling onto her lips. "I'm surprised you left Scott with a Manolis. They're Aphrodite's chosen family you know..they have roots going all the way back to Aeneas.."
"She doesn't think we're divine," notes Gene with a low chuckle, slanting a grin to her as she pauses beside him, "She's young, impressionable… I've always thought the old 'Romeo and Juliet' style romances were the best. Besides. Can you imagine the look on Helena's face when she finds out?" One shoulder lifts in a shrug, "'Course, she could just be a good actress. Which is why it's him and not me."
"No..Minerva isnt corrupted like her sister, if you want to know, but considering I can't find out where Helena or where any of her friends are.." and she looks towards Gene for a few moments, quite serious. "Make sure the poor girl doesnt find out. She'll be a help in the future.."
"Good, good…" Gene's head bobs in a slight nod, "I don't plan on telling her, no, she'd be too useful in the future against the White Bitch… figures she's still alive." A sigh stirs on his lips, head shaking, "I was trying so hard to kill her, too."
"I don't think you understand, my handsome, but idiotic and slow son.." Eris says, patting him gently on the cheek. "If I /cant/ find out where Helena is, that means only one thing. She's dead. You did kill her..Aphrodite's been a bitch since she found out.." she says, shaking her head once more. "You have an angry goddess of love on your asses.."
"She's flighty," Gene replies with a wry twitch of his lips, "I'm sure she'll lose interest before too long." He hopes. "Besides, daughter or not, she was a traitor to the Dodekatheon." He looks back over the street, lips pursing in a frown, "Damn, I hope El Fromage Noir didn't raise her as a zombie. I guess she'd still be kind've hot, in a whole 'Night of the Living Dead Three' sort've way, but…"
"Hades has no wrath like a woman scorned. Multiply that by at least a few orders of magnitude in the case of a bitchy ass goddess. 'Phro has bitch-ass-ness down like no other. Helena was her daughter afterwards…be glad Athena took interest in Minerva instead..'Phro was pissed off that daddy Manolis named her after Athena instead..so be careful.." Eris emphasizes before she just oyes softly.
"It's a good thing I'm not looking for love, then…" Gene shakes his head, serious for a moment, "I'll watch my back, mom. Thanks for the heads up…" A snort, "Not that I'm sorry about it."
"She'll find someone else to harass later..or she'll get pregnant by Daddy Manolis. I hear he has a really big one.." she says scandalously with a wry waggle of her brows. "Perhaps I should hit him up.." Eris muses. "Just to piss her off."
"You know she'd just take it out on me," Gene points out in amused tones, glancing to his mother with a brow's lift, "Of course you do. That's probably half of why you'd do it."
"I wouldn't do such a thing to my son!" Eris gasps before she starts laughing heartily as she pats him gently on the shoulder. "No, you're right. I would..but still, he's old. Aphrodite thinks Hugh Hefner is hot, I don't so I don't do old men with wrinkly penises.."
"I suppose that beauty really is in the eye of the beholder…" Gene's nose wrinkles a bit in a slight grimace, before he exhales a low chuckle, "Anyway. So you stop by just to warn me? That's sweet, mom…"
"No, she just likes either incredibly beautiful men or really rich and powerful men. Her and Ares…gah.." Eris says with a bit of annoyance under her breath as she hrmms and nods. "Yes, I came to warn you because what you're doing is incredibly dangerous. Hera and Zeus know what you and your little group is trying to accomplish…"
"Really? Because we don't have any fucking idea what we're trying to accomplish," notes Gene with a snort of breath, his head shaking tightly as he gestures with one hand in a defiant fashion, "We got orders. I can't speak for the others, but I don't obey that sort of order without someone telling me the why behind it. If I have to dig up all the dirt under Mount Olympus to find out what all this is about, mother, I damn well will."
"They know you want to find out the truth about Atlantis. I'm not stopping you because the truth scares the elder gods..and I think having them scared is a good thing. What they sought to hide, you will uncover, this much I know.." she says with a bright smile. "That's why I'm not smiting you down, because I'm on your side!" Eris chirps brightly, ruffling up Gene's hair.
"I love you too," Gene replies with a twitch of his lips, his fedora tipped off his head by her hand — but he catches it, deftly, and slides it smoothly back into place. "Of course, you could just tell us, but that would be too easy, wouldn't it?"
"Actually I can't tell you." Eris says matter of factly, sighing a little as she runs her fingers through her hair once more. "I wish I could, but I can't."
"What," asks Gene, a brow lifting, "Some sort've geas, or oath, or something?"
"No, dear. I don't want to be destroyed by the other gods.." Eris replies softly.
"It's such a good feeling knowing I'm a sacrificial goat… well, then, they can bring it on." Gene looks up to the Parthenon, a smile just-curving his lips, "They're bound by Fate. I still have free will. We'll see if power trumps that."
"That you do, m'dear, which is why you need to find out the truth.." she says matter of factly before she looks around furtively, and with that she disappears..
"I will," Gene replies, firmly, "It's what I do." She's gone, of course. He adjusts the set of his shades, then, and strolls along up the stone steps to check out the Parthenon. Hey, it's Athens, it's what one does. Scott and Minerva should be busy for awhile anyhow.
Any additional notes fall to the bottom.
