Jack Cassidy
Portrayed By: Gordon Summner
Status: Magnificent
Age: 34
Calling: Magnificent Trickster Bastard
Pantheon: Aesir
Divine Parent: Loki
Significant Other(s): Available, ladies!

Jack never had it easy. He never knew his mother and his father was one abusive bastard until he finally died. He always was pretty smart and knew how to play people, though, and thus he could at least make ends meet. He also dabbled a bit in mysticism and petty illusions during his early years, doing magic tricks so to speak, mostly to throw other people off-guard.

When suddenly this weird bastard showed up in his bedroom at night, claiming that he was his 'other parent' and the norse god Loki things went really weird. He was presented with a pair of gloves and a necklace and some very vague, largely misleading information on his fate and was then left to his own devices. All in all, it sucked, but Jack could for some reason not stop smiling. Somehow, it had all become absolutely hilarous and so very interesting. Magic suddenly came easily to him — the real stuff, and it was just so simple to get others and play with their minds with the right words. Life was good. Though, in the back of his mind, sometimes Jack is still wondering what Loki meant by 'other parent'. If the father he knew was real, then what did that imply about Loki?

Jack spent some time studying up on things. For some reason he always managed to find just the right places and the right people to do so and he found that he could turn pretty much anyone amicable with a simple touch of his gloves even when words failed him. He learned it all more or less on his own and with little help from his divine patron, but Loki definitely was proud of his son as they were so very much alike. Jack fell into the role of a trickster easily, conning and manipulating his way through life with ease and style. Of course, such behaviour does not always leave happy customers and at least half of the casinos in the state have policies to never let Jack get close to anything remotely resembling gambling. Not to mention that he continually leaves broken hearts, dead or miserable friends and destroyed lives in his wake.
