Synopsis Marius and Dee talk (mostly) business over coffee.

Java House - Soho - New York City

Sultry notes of Jazz waft through the air, along with the fine aroma of over fifty different types off coffee. Ranging from the esoteric (and delicious) Jamaican Blue Mountain to the almost mundane flavor of amaretto, the Java House carries them all. The interior, while somewhat drab compared to Starbucks, is almost entirely in neutral earth tones. The Java House is less like a house than a long hallway, one lined with a variety of trendy peices of art.

The noise from all the shoes of the customers in here treading on the hard wood floors sometimes drowns out the music, but it still produces a rhythm all it's own. The vibration from the tunes, and from the many feet walking on the wooden floor, almost fills the room with a subtle buzz, one that only complements the excellent coffee here.

Dee sits at the same table as last time, sipping water for the moment. She doesn't give the impression of having been here for more than a few minutes. She's reading over some typed notes, her lips pursed slightly.

Marius doesn't meet her at the table, instead ordering two coffees, getting one just the way she likes it, before heading over.

Dee looks over, and smiles towards Marius. "Hello, cousin. Everything going alright?" she asks him as she starts to stow her notes.

Marius smiles and leans over to give you a kiss on the cheek, and puts down the coffee cup in front of you, "Not too badly…I hear that Simone spoke to you?

Dee smiles to the kiss on the cheek, then waits till he's take a seat before replying with "We did, yes. I like her. She's working with you on the Medusa problem, then?"

Marius nods, "Yeah…though we are still split on what to do about it… but there are other problems too that we might need help with.

Dee looks curious as she picks up her cup. She blows off some of the steam, then nods. "Well, I'm happy to help with whatever. I do have a rather specific skill set. By the way, I've been picking up hacking lately. Turns out I have a talent for that, too."

Marius smiles softly, "We have a little problem on Ellis island."

Dee's forehead wrinkles. "Ellis Island? What sort of problem?" she asks, before having a careful sip.

Marius says, "A gate that opens at regular intervals into a titan held world."

Dee's face scrunches up. "A gate like the one in Times Square?"

Marius nods, "Only it opens on intervals, and thne closes again, it doesn't seem to be always open or controllable, more like old faithful."

Dee considers that quietly for a long moment. "I wonder if it's trying to become permanent. Was the one in Times Square like that, first?"

Marius says, "I do not know for sure, I am sorry…but we need help figuring out what is coming through"

"We do." Dee agrees. "Any leads at all on what started it?"

Marius says, "I think the crucifictions, they opened the gate in Time Square, and Caelis opened the one in Ellis Island"

Dee asks "Caelis? I don't know that one. Then again, I don't know most of the bad guys."

Marius says, "She was a Scion who was captured by the Atlanteans and Sacrificed by Crucifiction at the Statue of Liberty"

Dee ohhs quietly, then sighs. "Got it. Even more reason to keep the young ones from being captured. At this point, it would mostly be blamed on the angels instead of Titanspawn."

Marius nods, "Assuming Angels aren't titanspawn themselves?

Dee's forehead furrows again. "I… don't think they're the same. They could be, though."

Marius says, "I am not sure myself." He sighs softly, "Simone has some foot prints and writing that she could use help with."

Dee looks curious, and nods. "I'll give her a call. And you guys should all feel free to call whenever you think I could be useful." She has another sip of her coffee.

Marius chuckles softly, "And you feel free to call whenever you just want to hang out,…or talk…or anything

Dee smiles. "Same here. My work can be pretty solitary. Sometimes I need to be reminded to hang out with others."

Marius slides his chair next to you and gives you a hug, "Well my door is always open"

Dee smiles, returning the hug warmly. "Same here. We've got to all stick together, right?"

Marius smiles and nods, "So what now gorgeous?

Dee chuckles to that. "Well, unless you have something specific for me to look into, I can't get started on that quite yet. You know, like the address of the Medusa, so I can start some surveillance?"

Marius says, "I am afraid Simone has all of that."

Dee hms. "I'll give her a call later, then." she replies. She smiles again, then says "Anything you'd like to do?"

Marius says, "I dont know, what are you plans for today?"

Dee replies "Oh, there's a place I'm casing. You know how it is." she says, a twinkle in her eyes.

Marius says, "I see….and what does this place look like? Or is it better I don't know…plausible denibility and all?"

Dee grins. "I could tell you, but then I'd have to kill you." she says in reply.

Marius oooohhhs, "Would I die with a smile on my face?

Dee laughs then. "Mmmmmaybe?"

Marius says, "It would be worth it then, no?"

Dee grins. "Well, I can't say I agree with that…"

Marius says, "Oh you don't think you could make it worth my while?"

Dee considers that. "Worth dying? I'm almost positive I couldn't." she says with a chuckle.

Marius gives you an up and down a playful gleam in his eye, "You sure?"

Dee grins. "Pretty sure. Not that I don't have the moves. But worth dying?"

Marius grins and laughs out loud, "Well if your not sure…."

Dee smirks at him, then sips her coffee again. "Besides, I'd hate to think that if I wasn't being careful enough, I could kill some poor man. That would put a serious crimp in my sex life."

Marius says, "Oh so your concerned for my saftey then?"

You say, "Oh, I'm sure you could take it. But it's just not a skill I'm working on."

Marius chuckles low and shakes his head, taking a sip of his coffee

You say, "So, what else have you been working on lately?"

Marius says, "Work…and still trying to hunt down this…address I was given, …you don't think you could do some…casing of a joint…and stay unseen and safe do you?"

Dee arches an eyebrow. "Unseen and safe is kind of what I do. What's the address, and why is it being hard to hunt down?"

Marius gives you the address <get with Charmander> "Jason passed it on to me, the man who lives there was found dead, in one of the Atlantean pods, but he is still walking around, we think one of the Atlanteans took over his identity.

Dee purses her lips, as she glances over the address. "I'll see what I can find." she says then, her mind already working over some things.

Marius says, "They may be the sources of these gates"

Dee nods to that. "Really, anything we might learn is useful. We still know so little. I've been itching to have someplace concrete to look into."
